Cloughfin National School hosted its inaugural 5K Walk/Run last Friday, organised by Paul Smyth Inclusive Health and Fitness.
The event proved to be a resounding success, drawing an impressive crowd of over 200 participants of all ages.
After the race, refreshments were provided, and many members of the local community gathered to enjoy a cup of tea and lively conversation. The delightful weather further enhanced the cheerful and welcoming atmosphere.
Fiona Farry, Principal, Cloughfin N.S. said: “The support from parents, the local community and businesses in the area have totally overwhelmed us and we hope to make this an annual event. We wish to thank everyone who contributed in any way to make this such a success.”
Donations for the event are still being accepted at www.cloughfinns.com/5k until next week, when the final fundraising total will be revealed.
