A mother of three who failed to pay €625 in backdated fines has been given six months to do so.
Mary Byrne appeared before Judge Eiteain Cunningham at Letterkenny District Court after a fines warrant was issued for her.
The court was told the fines go back as far as 2017.
Judge Cunningham asked the court if community service was an option in the case.
Ms Byrne, of Beechwood Grove in Lifford, said she didn’t need community service as she had three children but needed six months to pay the fines.
Judge Cunningham adjourned the case until November 4th next to allow the fines to be paid.
Ms Byrne’s solicitor Donough Cleary was granted legal aid.
