A renowned east Donegal fiddler, who formerly played for country star Michael English, has been awarded almost €44,000 after winning a case for unfair dismissal and breaches of employment rights.
The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ruled that Matt McGranaghan, from Castlefin, was unfairly sacked by the management company behind the Michael English Band, MEPC Music Ltd, in September 2021.
Mr McGranaghan confirmed the outcome on his social media pages today.
